Timeline :: New Labour comes to power

Silhouette for no photo

New Labour refers to a period in the British Labour party from the mid-1990s to the early 2010s, under leaders, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.  They came to power with a landslide victory in 1997, and again in 2001, winning again in 2005. This was a time when ‘third way’ policies, 'modernization' and 'new public management' come to the fore.
