Timeline :: Probation Advisory and Training Board set up

Silhouette for no photo

The Probation Advisory and Training Board was set up by the Home Office in England and Wales, which had established a register of probation officers as early as 1911. This Board went on to become the Advisory Council for Probation and Aftercare (ACPAC). It did not join BASW in 1970, but its training functions were taken on by CCETSW after its formation in 1971.
