Lecturer in social work, Dr Jackie Gulland, is delighted that her book Gender, work and social control: a century of disability benefits has now been published by Palgrave Macmillan in its prestigious socio-legal studies series. This book arose from a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship in Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh and has been developed during Dr Gulland’s time as a lecturer in social work.
