Staff changes this semester
This semester sees significant changes in staff in Social Work at Edinburgh
We are sorry to lose Dr Mark Smith, former head of Social Work, who starts today as Professor of Social Work at the University of Dundee. Prof Bill Whyte retires too, but we hope will stay with us in an honorary capacity. James Cox leaves at the end of September after a year at the helm in practice learning. And Dr Fiona Morrison ends her research career with us, to take up a lecturership at University of Stirling.
Meanwhile Avril McIvor is our new practice learning supremo, and Mary Mitchell and Elaine Leith are new teaching fellows. And we have John Devaney's appointment to look forward to in January. And LOTS of centenary year celebrations to look forward to! We hope you will join us! See www.socialwork.ed.ac.uk/centenary/
