Tackling social inequalities is at the heart of social work. Our research on inequalities includes work on understanding the causes of social inequalities, the role of social welfare in reducing inequality and understanding the lives of people who experience inequality. Themes include criminal justice, poverty, disability, mental health, age, gender, austerity, race and ethnicity, care experienced young people and people living with long term health conditions.
